Sasquatch Sunset (2024) shows a year in the life of a Sasquatch family.
Reviewers describe it as "absurd, epic, hilarious and ... ultimately
poignant." Also "A bigfoot movie with big laughs if you like toilet
humor."
Bigfoot movies are not as common as vampire, werewolf or zombie movies, but probably number more than discriminating movie-watchers would want to watch.
A review of American Sasquatch (2020) says: "Don't waste your time watching this garbage. A group of paranormal investigators hunting bigfoot find themselves hunted." This review fits most Bigfoot movies — they are entertaining "garbage" and the theme of hunters or seekers getting hunted describes many of them.
In the 1956 movie Man Beast a Yeti-Human hybrid kills Himalayan climbers one by one. In the 2002 movie Sasquatch, survivors of an airplane crash in Canada's wilderness, and the rescue team, get attacked by a vicious monster. In Abominable (2006) a paraplegic and his nurse, and women having a party, and a group of hunters, encounter Bigfoot with abominable results. In The Wild Man of Vavidad (2008) hunters of Bigfoot become the hunted. Similarly, in Bigfoot (2012) lots of people go after Bigfoot and regret it. And in Exists (2014) five friends on a camping holiday accidentally hit an infant Sasquatch with their car at night and become the prey of the parent.
